How to Fix a Bounce House Tear?

A bounce house tear can be a big problem. If not fixed quickly, it can lead to further damage and even injury. Fortunately, repairing a tear in a bounce house is relatively easy with the right tools and supplies. In this blog post, we’ll go over the steps you need to take to repair your jumpy house so it’s safe for use again.

Gather Your Supplies
Before you start repairing your bounce house, make sure you have all the necessary supplies on hand. In most cases, the inflatable products include the repair patches. You will need vinyl repair glue or vinyl adhesive patches, scissors, and some type of cloth or material that is similar in color and texture to your bounce house material (such as an old t-shirt). You may also want to buy some air pressure gauges if you don’t already have them since they will come in handy later when testing the repaired area for any leaks.

Clean and Dry the Area
Once you have gathered your supplies, clean and dry the area surrounding the tear. This will help ensure that no dirt or moisture gets into the repair area, which could cause further issues down the line. Use a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris from around the tear before allowing it to dry completely.

Apply Glue/Patch
After cleaning and drying the area, apply either vinyl repair glue or adhesive patches to either side of the tear. Make sure that there is an even amount of glue/patch applied on both sides of the fabric in order for it to stick properly. Once applied, press firmly on both sides of fabric until secure and leave aside for at least 24 hours before using again.

Test Repaired Area
Once 24 hours has passed, inflate your bounce house with air pressure gauges connected to each side of it in order to test if there are any additional leaks present after being patched up. If all goes well then congratulations! Your patch job was successful! If not then repeat steps 1-3 until desired results are achieved or contact a professional if needed.

Fixing a tear in a bounce house can seem daunting at first but with these simple steps you should be able to get it done yourself without having to spend money on expensive repairs or replacement parts! Now that you know how easy it is, you can rest easy knowing that your family and friends can enjoy jumping around safely again! Happy bouncing!
